NEWS & UPDATES
08/29/00 The farrier was out this morning and we got the rest of the babies done. Levi was such a good boy we even did his feet out on the pasture instead of in the pen. In all we got 9 done today and plan on Pete being back out in 2 weeks to finish up this round. Good news!! I have been spending every spare minute trying to get that video together for those of you who have requested one. It is going to be fairly lengthy at around 80-90 minutes. It is hard to believe but with around 7 minutes per horse it really adds up. So hold on and it will be on its way soon!
08/26/00 We had a really busy day today. We got most of this years foals wormed today including Levi, Kidron, Malachi, Pharaoh, and Quartus. We also gave Malachi his second tetanus shot and took him and his mom, Aralina, for a trailer ride. We also took Seraphina and Quartus for a ride. That first time in the trailer is always interesting. We finally got video done of the yearlings, Isaac, Josiah and Hezekiah as well as Adam.
08/23/00 We spent most of our morning yesterday trimming horses. Wow, what a job. We got 9 in all including Adam, Isaac, Kidron, Aszmira, Aralina and Malachi. The boys are maturing so nicely. They were all very well behaved and we got a lot of supervision by Aralina. She is quite the pocket horse now and wants to be in the middle of everything. What a sweetheart!
08/17/00 We weaned Levi Tuesday and he has actually done better than his mom, Bint Bint. He barely whinnied at all but his mom sure did pace the fence a lot. We finally got the new photos of Isaac up on his page. They don't show the fantastic trot this guy has but at least they are not his baby pictures. We will try again later this year to get some of him in that trot of his for all of you to see. We also heard from Diane, Eliazar's new mom, yesterday. They are already starting to bond and she is thrilled with the wonderful mind he has. Very intelligent and thinks before he reacts to anything. She already has him easily loading into the trailer and it only took once for him to figure out the quick release (OOPS). Good luck Diane!
08/11/00 Well, Eliazar went with his new mom this morning to New Mexico. It was harder than I thought to see that trailer leave the driveway. That is going to be a great horse and hopefully a great match. Once again, Congratulations Diane!! Priscella has a new home as well. She has landed in Grand Junction with a young lady who is very excited about her. What fun these two are going to have together!
08/01/00 Dr. Eric just left and we did brain surgery on Levi and Malachi. They were already good colts but now they will be even better geldings. We also did quite a few preg checks and had positives on Aralina, Baskette, Domineekh, Fancy, Wielka and Sassy. It looks like we are going to have to rebreed Aszmira and that's it. We are shooting pretty good odds this year and pray it stays that way. It seems you never really know how many foals you will have in the spring until they actually appear.
