11/30/00 We have a new addition to our broodmare band. Her name is Inderia and she is a chestnut with a beautiful neck and head as well as a natural self carriage that is hard to come by. Indy is 75%Egyptian and has lines to Raffles on the bottom. She came in last night and is settling in well. She is young at only 7 and we are excited to see what this beautiful girl will give us. 11/24/00 Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have had a very busy last week. Our farrier has been out and gotten almost everyone on the place trimmed. We also got most of them wormed at the same time. The irrigation water is now off so we have had to move a lot of the horses into the pens instead of the pasture to more easily get water to them. We also had an amazing site out in the pastures last week. We had 4 foxes out there playing. They have multiplied! We only had 1 this spring. It was a truly beautiful site! 11/10/00 We have decided to reduce the prices on a few of our horses for winter. Seraphina is our Pure Polish *El Paso mare. This wonderful mare is from foundation stock and has produced exceptional foals for us. She is reduced to $2,500. The other horse is our TB filly Legacy. She is a Secretariat grand-daughter! This young lady has very long straight legs and loads of untapped potential. She has been reduced to $3,000. Both of these girls are very well bred and priced right! Check them out in our Sale Barn for more information. 11/08/00 Our farrier was out yesterday and got 9 of our mares trimmed including Wielka and Aszmira. He will be back next week to work on the rest. It has been terribly cold here already and we have had to break ice in the water troughs for the last 2 days. Hopefully this will not be an indication of our winter! 11/01/00 I have been spending a lot of time with the boys lately and it is really neat to see how the color is changing on some of the grays. Josiah, Kidron and Isaac are all almost black and there are just flecks of gray hair all through their bodies. It gives a wonderful affect and you don't see it unless you are very close to them. Aszmira has been craving attention as well and will talk to you until you take the time to come over and give her a scratch. What a neat bunch!
