5/20/2001 Kidron left for his new home yesterday. He is with a very neat young lady named Erica. She is from over the mountain in Erie, Colorado. Erica wanted a young horse with some flash and spirit that would bond with her to be a lifelong buddy. These two are going to make a wonderful pair. Congratulations Erica! 5/15/2001 We bred several mares this weekend including Seraphina, Darley, Dal, Jasman and Domineekh. We also got a call from Stacey out in Washington with awhitehorse.com and she wants to give Seraphina a home. It has been her dream to have an *El Paso mare and this girl has been on her mind for several months now so she figured it was time to do something about it. Congratulations Stacey you have found a real treasure. 5/11/2001 We bred Bint Bint yesterday. She is Levi's dam and is such a sweet mare and has wonderful big warmblood type foals that we really look forward to what she gives us every year. If all goes well we will be breeding several more mares this weekend too. 5/8/2001 It has been so busy here the last few days that I don't know where to begin. Friday we sold Hezekiah and Josiah locally so they have new homes. We had the chance to meet some new and wonderful folks on Saturday. It all started when Doug and Tammy from Alaska came by to get their new mare Indy. They seem very pleased with her and I think they will give her a wonderful home. Dawn and Lee from Ireland also came and took Adam with them to the John Lyons school. What a neat couple. Dawn and Tammy will be keeping us posted on how the school is going. What a fantastic opportunity to learn! Erica from Erie, CO also came by and spent some time with Kidron. They seemed to do well together and if all goes well she will be back on the 19th to take him home. 5/3/2001 We had our last foal of the year about 1:30 this morning in the pouring rain. It is a nice long legged filly and probably gray. Her dam will be available as soon as the filly is weaned. Her name is Aralina and she is a pure polish mare who has produced some really nice foals for us. This is a very sweet mare and would make a nice addition to someone's heard. We had a beautiful black bay filly this morning. She is big boned and very sweet. We will be keeping her but will be offering her dam for sale as soon as this little girl is weaned. Her name is Baskette and she is by The Chief Justice and out of a GG Jabask mare. Baskette is 14, extremely kind, black bay and stands 14.3+. We only have one more mare to go, Aralina, and she looks like she could pop any time. We will let you all know when she does. 5/1/2001 We are started into breeding season and bred Aszmira yesterday. She is such a sweet and willing mare. We also bred Fancy, our NSH mare, on Saturday. Her colt from this year, Uzziel, is a real show stopper so it should be interesting to see what she throws for us next year. |
