10/31/2001 We moved all of the yearlings and 2 year olds yesterday as well as Darley and Dal. Our son helped and took Pharaoh as well as his sister Faith. These two are so easy to work with that he really enjoyed helping us with them. They are all such a nice bunch that we often take it for granted unless you get up close and personal to truly appreciate them. It makes it all worth while. 10/29/2001 We moved all of the foals yesterday into the winter pens and wormed them all. Everyone was very good to work with and we had fun with them. We also started moving the mares as the irrigation water will be shut off soon and there will be no water on the pastures. Fall has definitely set in. 10/26/2001 Tuesday was a busy day. We weaned the last 4 foals in the morning and Adam came home that afternoon. It is amazing how much he has learned. He will even come over and park himself by the mounting block for you to get on. 10/17/2001 I got a wonderful surprise this morning as I opened my e-mails. Scott now has our new gallery up and running. There are quite a few new photos. We are also working on putting write ups with them so you know a little about the horses pictured. I hope you all enjoy it. 10/15/2001 We had a wonderful family out on Saturday to look at horses. They were looking for their 19 year old daughter a horse to bring along. They really liked both Levi and Isaac and were very pleased with the overall quality of our horses. It is extremely rewarding to have other people enjoy the work we have put into selecting our herd. 10/10/2001 Pete made his last go around yesterday for a while. We got the rest of the babies done. They all did pretty well and I had fun scratching on them while he was working. Saturday we got the chance to get some new pictures of Isaac so they should be up on the site soon. He is really turning into a nice looking gelding and is very easy to work with. I trimmed his mane and clipped his bridle path for the first time and he was a wonderful boy. 10/6/2001 Pete was out again the other day and we got a couple of the foals trimmed. This years babies are really jewels and easy to work with so it makes our jobs much easier. Pete will hopefully get done with the rest of them next week. We posted a few new entries on our links page a week or so ago. These are to some pretty nice pages so please check them out and enjoy. |
