1/29/2002 We finally have a photo up of Rachael and 2 of Solome. They were taken this weekend so they are fully fuzzed up but it will give you some kind of idea. They are both very nice fillies but it will be spring before we get any photos that will truly do them justice. 1/28/2002 Today was a lot of fun. We took some pictures of the great fuzzy children for the web site so we will hopefully have some photos of the fillies up soon. They are not at their best but when you decide in December to put them up for sale you do the best you can. Vashti is truly a beautiful girl with the most amazing correct legs, Rogue and Rachael would both rather eat the longe whip than run from it and Solome is quite the poster girl. We also spent quit a lot of time cleaning pens. My sweet Olivette could not bear to let me do it alone and was always trying to help out. It was a wonderful day with the horses. 1/24/2002 We woke up to a white world yesterday. There was about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it was beautiful. While cleaning off the walkways we also saw 2 foxes on the back of the property. They are so wonderful to have around. The farrier was suppose to be out yesterday morning to trim the youngsters but we decided to put it off until next week when maybe it would not be so cold and white. The horses love the weather and have been sunning themselves a lot in the snow and it makes them feel good too so they play more. What fun it is to watch them kick up their heels. 1/21/2002 We have quite a few new horses listed on the sale barn. They are all fillies from the last two years and since we had not planned on selling them we have no photos yet. It would do no justice to them to take photos this time of year as they are all teddy bears. Please bear with us and we will get them up as quickly as possible when they all shed out in the spring. 1/15/2002 We had a chance to work with the foals this weekend. They love the attention and it is better if more than one of us goes in so we can scratch several at a time. Uzziel is becoming quite the pest as he is always out front for petting. We were covered in hair as they are all starting to shed out already so polarfleece is definitely out for a while. We also played with the coming 2 year olds and Levi is really becoming a beautiful horse. Seeing them mature is very rewarding. Pharaoh is getting tall and is such a handsome boy. He is such a joy to watch move as he just floats. Rachael is still almost completely black and really learning to enjoy the scratches. Solome is graying out and very pretty. The two fillies will be offered for sale and we hope to get them up on the site soon. 1/12/2002 Adam has now been sold and should be on his way to Washington in the next few weeks. The lady who purchased him went to the John Lyons school with him so she knows him well. Her name is JeanAnn and she is actually purchasing this neat little guy for her mother as her last fancy driving horse. I'm sure Adam will have plenty of attention there and should settle in to his new life with ease. Congratulations JeanAnn and we hope your mother truly enjoys him. 1/7/2002 We had a wonderful family from Utah in this weekend, Erica, her husband John and their daughter Sheena. We had a great time looking at and talking about horses. What a treat. 1/3/2002 We need to reduce our herd so we have reduced the price on a couple of our mares. Wielka is in foal to our Friesian stallion and due April 8th. She will be offered in foal until February 25 and at that point will be pulled until after she foals. This is a very pretty mare who has been a good producer and an excellent opportunity to have both a mare and foal very reasonably. The other mare we are reducing in our Sabson daughter, Aralina. She is a pure Polish girl and we left her open for this year. She has been very easy to work with and fertile and has very nice lines. Take a look at these girls as it is a wonderful buy on both of them. |
