5/24/2002 Dal had a beautiful big filly last night right before feeding time. She is solid black right now so we probably have a gray on our hands. All went well and mom and baby are up and about. Olivette is her full sister and my favorite girl so we will see if this one turns out anything like her. 5/22/2002 Pete was out Friday to trim horses. We got 7 done total including Glory, Levi and Rachael. They all have very nice feet and wonderful bone to go with them. Levi is going through another growing spurt and has put on an inch or so in the last month. He should be an awesome big guy when he is done. 5/14/2002 We had a great morning as our 4 year old daughters preschool came out here for their year end field trip. Jerusalem was a jewel and let all of the children pet on him. He just eats up the attention. To our surprise Jasmin's new colt let all of the kids pet him too. He would go so far as to follow us down the fence line and put his head through the rails to get their attention. What an unbelievable sweet boy this is turning out to be. This one is going to be a real treasure. 5/9/2002 Jasmin finally foaled about 9:15 this morning. It is a very tall and leggy colt. It appears he will be either dark bay or black bay but we will not know for sure until he sheds out his foal coat later in year. He has a pretty head and tippy ears too. Only 2 more to go and then we are done for the year! 5/8/2002 Darley had an outstanding big boned colt last night. He is mousy right now so this one will be black! He does not have a white hair on him and is already a very proud little guy and should be a real show stopper. We have also made price adjustments to our current sales list to make room for the new arrivals. If I have spoken with you in the last month we will still honor the prices that were quoted to you until June 1st. We thought that Jasmin would foal last night but still no luck. Hopefully soon and this girl has given us both black and black bay in the past so who knows. 5/7/2002 Our sweet Jasmin is due and this poor girl is miserable. She has had 3 foals for us in the past but this is the first time she has ever looked pregnant. Hopefully tonight will be the night for her. Darley is also in a foaling shed and due any time. This is a big mare who produces some wonderful moving foals. We will let you all know as soon as one of them foals. 5/2/2002 We took some photos of Rachael a couple of weeks ago and now have them up on her page for all of you to see. She had still not quite shed out completely and had a little mud on her but as you can see she is still a very pretty girl. |
