We woke up yesterday morning to our first snow of the year. It is nice to see for a change but I also hate to see the warm weather leave us. We desperately need all the moisture we can get though. The irrigation water was turned off last week so Troy got a chance on Saturday to take all of the gated pipe out of the pastures. Once it gets cold it is very brittle and the horses break it just by walking over it. We have a new addition to our sales page. It is a filly and her name is Charity. She is a gray and a full sister to Levi. This one should be really nice but we can't keep them all. We also added a photo of Isaiah to the sale barn. He is a beautiful boy and as you can see by his photo shedding out to be very dark. All in all the horses are doing well and seem to be enjoying the cooler weather.

It has been a very busy last few days. Last Friday the vet was out and we got Isaiah gelded. All went well and he barely missed a beat. Sunday we hauled the last of the hay. Hopefully now we will have enough to get us through. We also weaned the fillies Sunday as well as moving all of the horses into their winter pens. The fillies are all in with Isaiah but we wont move his mom until he has had a little more time to heal. It feels good to get some of this done.

Baskette left here about 12:30 in the morning on Sunday to head to her new home out in Elk Grove, CA. A very nice lady named Nicole purchased her as she has a brother to her and loves the lines. We truly hope that Nicole enjoys this wonderful girl. Congratulations!

We had nicknamed the unnamed black colt as Little Man and he has found a new home in Sheridan, Wyoming. His new mom is Doris and she is very excited. They drove out to pick him up and arrived early Saturday morning. The trailer loading went pretty well and he started eating almost as soon as we turned him loose. His new mom has promised to keep us posted and we are looking forward to it. Congratulations Doris and have fun!
