7/31/2003 The farrier was out this last week and we got about half of the herd done. He will be back this week to finish up. We woke up to a very neat surprise Monday. Our ducks have successfully hatched out a few babies. One of them was in the small pond we use to water the lawn with and you could hear his loud little peep from the house. That is how we found them. At this point there are just 3 but they may still hatch out more. 7/24/2003 We got a chance to take some new pictures of Charity Saturday. It was a little overcast but at least they are current. She is really becoming a beautiful girl with a very pretty head and large intelligent eyes. Her mane is unusually thick and is already fairly long. 7/1/2003 The vet was out today and we got a positive preg check on Jasman, so this lovely girl is now officially offered for sale in foal. We also rechecked Domineekh as she has appeared to show slight heat. She is still in foal and looking good. It has gotten very hot here all of the sudden and it is making the irrigating more difficult so we will just pray that this year the drought will be milder than last year. |
