2/20/2004 It has been so cold here that we have all gone into hibernation. It seemed like about 6 weeks of the ground frozen solid and hardly getting above freezing. This week we have gotten a break and we are all cheering out here! The snow is going away and things are thawing out. Sweet Bint Bint is like a giant dandelion gone to seed and if you get within 3 feet of her you are covered in white stuff. She has been rolling out in the pasture to shed out some of that old hair and there are white patches on the ground every where you look. It is a truly amusing site as you can see each and every place she has been. The farrier was out Monday and it looked like he was going gray from all of her hair on him. Fancy is starting to bag up and it looks like she may only be a week or two away. Then again she could go several more weeks. We will be keeping a close eye on her and will let all of you know when the big event occurs. |
