5/30/2004 Onan has become a real favorite around here. He is quite the clown and will try to crawl in your lap if you sit on the ground too close to him and he loves to give kisses. That is a real first! Is kind of strange to have this tiny soft muzzle in your face lipping you. Keros is growing like a weed and is already quite tall. He is also a brave boy and enjoys exploring without his mom. They are all growing well and are a great group of babies. posted by Scott at 8:45 PM 5/24/2004 We have gotten a positive preg check on Beth so she is now officially in foal to an outside stallion for a 3/4 foal for next year. We have gotten Naomi bred to that same stallion and should know in about another week or so if she took. Christi was bred to Jerusalem this morning and she did beautifully for a maiden mare and her mom, Domineekh, will also be bred to him this week. Those will be the only 4 we are breeding this for this next year and will be our very first 3/4 crop so we are very excited to see the outcome. posted by Scott at 4:14 PM 5/12/2004 Jasman had a beautiful big boned bay colt at about 6:25 yesterday morning. He has a small crescent on his forehead and it appears he will shed off to a dark bay. He is also very masculine, just as a boy should be. I guess this is the year for bay colts as that is what 3 out of 5 have been this go around. We have bred Beth to an outside Friesian stallion and we should know soon if she is in foal or not. If all goes well we will also breed Naomi to that same stallion and Christi to Jerusalem for our first 3/4 babies next year. We also now have an orphan foal as we lost our beloved Dal about 10 days ago. This wonderful lady gave us 3 fantastic foals so her lines will live on in our program with the 2 fillies we are retaining. She will be greatly missed but we are very thankful for the time we had with her. She was a real treasure as she was such a kind soul. Goodbye sweet girl! posted by Scott at 9:56 PM
